“We live in an American Idol-saturated culture that tells us if we aren’t the next genius or prodigy, art is a waste of our time. But I don’t buy that for a second. Art was created for all of us.”
Whether you’re looking to study for the first time, supplement a college education, recapture skills that have gotten rusty, or prepare for an important event or project, Ben can help you get there faster.
Coaching creatives – songwriters, playwrights, composers, film composers, etc. – is his greatest passion. He has worked with several songwriters, playwrights and composers. His writing and composition students include Katelyn Alexander, whose original musical Blemished was the 2013 Playwrights Platform Winner at 2nd Street Theater in Bend. Winning a fully staged production by 2nd Street, Blemished went on to sell out five out of its six performances.
Ben has been teaching private piano lessons – both in classical and popular styles – for nearly a decade. With over twenty years experience in performance as an actor, musician, and singer, he is also available for audition and recital rehearsal, direction, and accompaniment.
Ben currently offers 30 or 60 minute slots on Weekdays from 5 – 7pm and is accepting students of all ages and experience levels. $25 for a 30 minute session and $40 for a 60 minute session. Contact Ben for more info!
